A Note From Grace

Hi there! Thank you for stopping by SADVA's website. SADVA is one of the best, most meaningful projects I've had the pleasure to work on. It all started in 2021 when I realized sexual assault and domestic violence occur more than I thought on campus. I wanted to create a space for students and faculty to share ideas, stories, and heal together. This space is meant for anyone. Whether you have been a survivor of these acts, are supporting loved ones, or just want to learn more, you are welcomed!

A little about me:

One thing you'll find out about me right away is I am an animal lover and truly believe they can help heal. I grew up on a farm and was drawn to Northern because of the size and location of the campus.

I love going on hikes, swimming, and dancing in parking lots. I am a big advocate for therapy and believe in the power of sharing stories to create community. I hope you'll join SADVA and help us make this campus aware of our stories and experiences. It's time to speak up! #MeToo

A Note From Kathleen

Hey! Thanks for stopping onto SADVA's page. I am so grateful to be working with Grace and you all.

A little about me:

I love music - whether that is singing, listening, DJ'ing, or jamming out in a car/parking lot. It is truly so powerful and cathartic.

I love hiking, being with my friends and family, hanging out with my dogs, and reading. If I'm not in class, you can find me at the lake, listening to music, or somewhere on campus reading (especially when the weather's nice outside).

I hope that you'll join SADVA, help us make a space for everyone to simply be, and raise awareness. Thanks!
