Trafficking Awareness & Prevention

We aim to build and maintain a collaborative effort in combating the human trafficking problem in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, with special attention to NMU and the surrounding counties, with a victim centered, trauma informed, and multidisciplinary approach.

Education & Awareness

We aim to provide accurate, research-informed education about human trafficking through workshops, guest speakers, campus events, and awareness campaigns. Emphasizing myths vs. realities, risk factors, and local relevance within the Upper Peninsula.

Prevention & Early Intervention

We aim to promote prevention strategies by equipping students with tools to recognize warning signs, respond appropriately, and reduce vulnerability among at-risk populations.

Advocacy & Policy Awareness

We aim to encourage student involvement in advocacy efforts aimed at improving policies, services, and protections for survivors of human trafficking at local, state, and national levels.
