About Us

Medicinal Plant Chemistry Clmission is to explore the aspects of analytical chemistry of plant-derived compounds (including cannabis) and a place for Med-P students to network. Membership is open to all Medicinal Plant Chemi, Chemists, Biochemists, Neurobiologists, Microbiologists, Anthropology majors. Email dbaluyut@nmu.edu for more information. 1. We explore the chemistry of plant-derived compounds, including cannabis, by inviting guest speakers to engage in group discussions about current trends in medicinal plant chemistry in academia and industry. 2. We aim to provide a safe space for medicinal plant chemistry students to network. 3. We encourage medicinal plant chemistry majors to get involved. Membership is open to all students who have an interest in medicinal chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, botany, mycology, ethnobiology, neurobiology, microbiology, and anthropology.
