About Us

Our chapter of BSU strives to create an inclusive and understanding space for the education of Black experience, culture and history on campus. BSU meetings are more like a weekly get together rather than formal meetings. Throughout the year we take part in volunteer projects, open forum discussions/panels here at Northern and elsewhere, we also help with events relating to MLK jr. Day and Black History Month. Outside of meetings we get together for cookouts, road trips, basketball games, and whatever else the group is interested in doing. Meetings are open to the public so anyone is allowed to stop by.
