Workshop for Fellowships & Scholarships Abroad @ Winter Research Day

This workshop will provide an orientation to students interested in national fellowships or scholarships that support students studying, researching, or teaching abroad.

 

The workshop is hands-on. - Bring your laptop

Part 1: Students will be provided with a choice of programs and will be guided through a basic program website review. In groups, they will present their findings.

Part 2: Students will be provided a rubric to evaluate application essays; in groups, they will evaluate a couple of short essays.

This workshop is hosted by the Fellowship & Scholarship Committee and the Writing Center. The F&S Committee was launched last year to help students apply for valuable national fellowships and scholarships. The Writing Center helps students at NMU become more confident and successful writers and communicators.

Lunch will be provided for workshop participants.
