Mission
The Rock & Mineral Club is a student organization focused around the geology of our Marquette home. Our meetings regularly put us out into the field where we can explore geologic features, collect rocks, history of the area through a geologic lens. The club still holds activities during the winter such as rock polishing. There are no fees or requirements involved with joining or participating. Just bring your rock and mineral enthusiasm! Membership Benefits
Members get to come along on fieldtrips, explore the beautiful outdoors, collect and trade rocks and minerals we find in the field, and have a great time! A hammer, chisel, and a pair safety glasses is brought along for field trips. We carpool to our destinations, if you can drive great! If you need a ride we have you covered! The Rock & Mineral Club is a great way to learn about the history of Marquette, especially as it pertains to geology and mining.
