Join us for a unique panel discussion featuring the full state legislative delegation representing Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Bringing together State Representatives Parker Fairbairn (MI-107), Dave Prestin (MI-108), Karl Bohnak (MI-109), Greg Markkanen (MI-110), and State Senator Ed McBroom (MI-38), this event offers a rare opportunity to hear directly from every elected state legislator serving the UP—an especially notable gathering given the region’s size and geographic reach.

Panelists will engage in a moderated discussion on key issues impacting the Upper Peninsula, including energy policy, natural resource management, healthcare, and the ongoing conversation surrounding UP statehood. These topics carry particular importance in a region defined by its natural resources, rural communities, and unique economic challenges.

Attendees will gain valuable insight into how these issues are being addressed at the state level, while also having the opportunity to better understand the legislative process and perspectives shaping policy in the UP.

This event is open to students and the public.
