Residence halls, club sports teams, and student organizations will compete in one of Homecoming's longest traditions--Dead River Games (DRG). Consisting of a series of relay races, this is an exciting and entertaining event for participants to compete for prizes. Spectators are welcome! Registration is only required for competing teams.
Participant Check-In: 12:30-12:50 p.m.
Teams must be present and checked in by 12:50 p.m. by a Special Events Committee member. You can find us by the yellow Homecoming banners, in yellow t-shirts. If a team does not check-in, they will be ineligible to compete for points and prizes.
Please carpool or walk over with your team because parking is limited. Do not park on the side of the road (see directions below). You will get a ticket if you do.
Teams:
You can have an unlimited number of team members come to Dead River Games (DRG) but only 6 members will compete for each event. The additional team members will be there to cheer everyone on!
Competitive Relay Races:
- Ice Cream Scoop Challenge - One member scoops ice cream from a ladder, and the remaining 5 will catch it in their mouth. Ice cream is donated from Jilbert's Dairy in a variety of flavors. Please be aware of allergies on your team.
- Olympic Obstacle Course - The obstacle course consists of 5 events sure to test your strength, and leave members dizzy, wet, or messy. Please dress for ANYTHING.
The activities below are just for fun and are there for you to do while you wait for your team to compete.
- Sand Volleyball
- Tie Dye Station - bring something white to tie dye.
Don't forget, spectators are welcome to join the fun! Registration is only required for competing participants.
