Mission Occupational Therapy (OT) is a branch of rehabilitative therapy that focuses on the use of activities of daily living to promote independence and quality of life throughout the lifespan. OT is a career that combines aspects of healthcare, physical fitness, psychology, and creativity in a rehabilitation setting. The Pre-Occupational Therapy Club is open to students who want to learn more about the profession and those who are already on the OT career path. The club fosters student networking to create a supportive group for Pre-OT students. We prepare NMU students for OT graduate school application by providing experiences and facilitating connections with professional contacts. We meet regularly to discuss graduate school preparation, relevant OT-related topics, and volunteering opportunities. Email preot@nmu.edu for more information about our club or the OT career path!
