MEH x Feeding America West Michigan Mobile Food Pantry Volunteering

Feeding America West Michigan's Mobile Food Pantry is in town at the Berry Events Center every 3rd Wednesday of the month to distribute food to people in drive-thru fashion. Marquette Ending Hunger volunteers under Yoopers United. We would love any additional hands, even if you are a new face to our organization! It's a great time!

From volunteer page: "NMU Berry Events Center: Parking lot Corner of Fair Ave/Pine St. Volunteers are needed to help with various duties once the mobile pantry arrives, such as, setting up tables, packing bags/boxes, loading food into vehicles, registering clients, parking lot detail and any other need that may arise. Shifts are generally from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Rest rooms are available and masks, gloves, sanitizing items and vests are all provided. Please dress appropriately for weather conditions, as all events are held outdoors. Bringing a beverage, snack and face masks are recommended. Food distribution is a physical activity that can involve bending, lifting, and twisting. If you would like to volunteer but have existing neck or back issues, please notify a Rotary leader on site, to identify tasks that may be safer safe for you."
