Faculty-Led Study Abroad: Scotland Interest Meeting

Take your interest in forensic science and crime scene investigation abroad!

The Chemistry and Criminal Justice Departments invite students to learn about CJ 426X-01: FLSA Scotland Forensic Science & CSI, a new 4-credit Winter 2027 course that combines semester coursework with a May faculty-led study abroad experience in Scotland.

About the course:
Explore how forensic science and criminal investigation are practiced in the United States and the United Kingdom. We’ll examine the historical development of forensic techniques, the continued value of established methods, and the impact of contemporary advances.

During the semester, students will meet weekly. The course concludes with a trip to Scotland, where students will learn directly from forensic experts and law enforcement personnel and visit historical and professional sites.
