CJA Meetings- 2/8, 2/15, 2/22
Hi everyone, hope you're having a great week! Here is the breakdown for the rest of February:
We have a meeting today 2/8 at 4p in Jamrich 2319 to elect next semester's president and vice president. We will be getting a headcount for the Festival of the Sled Dog (event in place of the UP200) and discussing the following volunteer events for the rest of February and March:
- 2/10: Central UP Critical Incident Stress Management Peer Support Team Spaghetti dinner @ 4p-9p
- 2/16: Festival of the Sled Dog @ 5:30p (be at the meeting on 2/15 please!)
- 2/22: Michigan State Police first aid session @ 8:30a-11:30a
- 3/13: Serve dinner to guests at the Beacon House @ 5p-6p
- 3/16: Special Olympics Polar Plunge @ 2p
The next couple of weeks are very busy for the group, so we will have an additional meeting next Thursday 2/15 at 4p in Jamrich 2319 to have a briefing with the UP200 volunteer coordinator. Anyone who plans on volunteering for this event, please attempt to come to this meeting. If you cannot attend this meeting and would like to volunteer, send me an email and I'll put you on the spreadsheet and look out for the meeting notes Alexa will take in the GroupMe.
To conclude this very long email, we will also have a meeting on 2/22 at 4p in Jamrich 2319 to keep on track with our biweekly schedule of meetings. Trooper Tom Kinnunen, the Community Service Trooper out of the Negaunee Post, will be speaking to our group about his career with the Michigan State Police.
