Mission
Our mission is to provide a safe space for Asian and Asian-American students at NMU. We aim for inclusivity and welcome students from all Asian-identifying and non-Asian cultures. We strive to create an inclusive and understanding space to educate others of the Asian and Asian-American experience, culture, and history on campus. We strive to disperse stereotypes regarding Asian and Asian-Americans through workshops and cultural events in hope of creating an Asian voice on campus.
ASU is formed by international and domestic students who want to share their culture and experiences from their countries and engage in a welcoming environment. We encourage all students to embrace our individual differences. We aim to encourage discourse which emphasizes on each of our unique qualities while working together for social unity.
