Event descriptions:
- Feb 10, which is Lunar New Year. The NMU Instagram account has offered to do a "takeover". What that means is that a person, or a few people, get to represent ASU and have access to the northernmichiganu Instagram and post about their day, would be cool if it was lunar new year themed but it is not a requirement. It would be a cool experience to post about your activities on the official nmu page. The deadline to express interest is Monday.
- Feb 13, Palestine: Landscape, culture, and traditions. This will be a 1 hour informational presentation about the people of Palestine
- On Feb 17, we are going to the ice caves. We are potentially looking for 8 more people, including 1 driver, to justify renting a second van. The deadline to register is Sunday, 2/4. Please keep in mind that we will only be able to rent a second van if we fill in the remaining 8/12 van seats. There are currently 12 attendees in one van, and 3 interested attendees in a potential second van.
- Feb 20, Palestine and the Olive Tree. A 1 hour informational presentation about the economic status of the olive tree in relation to Palestinian sovereignty.
- Feb 27, A 1-hour informational presentation of an academic analysis of Judaism in comparison to Zionism.
- Mar 2, Retropub Ramen-social. Join us at the new arcade in town that sells ramen. It will be an informal social gathering to meet new people and converse with fellow students and community members.
- Apr 1, EcoReps is an organization on campus who has offered to create pins for us, we are looking for someone who wants to create a design for the pins! It is a great opportunity to express your creativity and have pins made by EcoReps and designed by you. Attached below is the template and previous designs from ecoreps. The design is due by April 2024.
